We are thrilled to be approved by the Washington Twp to have sole use of the Robert Rush Log Cabin on 91 acres along the Pohatcong Creek and the Pohatcong Creek Watershed Native Plant Arboretum.  There are marked walking trails through the woodlands, picnic tables and plenty of great spots for en plein air painting.

What an absolutely perfect day for a field trip! Sunny, clear skies with just the hint of fluffy clouds and 75 degrees. Attendees included President Patti Tivnan, Carol Southerland, Pat Olds, Pam Eden, Bill Reynolds and Susan Reynolds.  Chanticleer Gardens opened in 1993 and 35 of the 47 acres are open to the public to enjoy. Another beautiful day for a field trip - and this time it was to the Presby Memorial Iris Garden in Montclair NJ.  Approximately 40% of the iris beds were in bloom and those were spectacular.  I never realized that Iris could have such a nice scent.  It was a small group of us this time - Caroline Goldsmith and her son, Pat Olds and her daughter and Pam Eden.

Four of us (Patti, Bill, Susan & me- Pam) made the day trip to Longwood Gardens today and it was a Perfect Day. Yes it was drizzling rain on and off - but it was overcast and the colors outside were perfect. PLUS it was the weekend for the International Orchid Show & Sale. Orchids were the focus and they were EVERYWHERE in the Visitor Center and the Conservatory and for sale in a special big white tent. The artists' reception for the Barn Art exhibit, in Oxford, has moved from Sunday, April 15, to Sunday, April 22, 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
There was a schedule conflict with another group for April 15. 

Warren County ARTS has another artists' reception date set for Saturday, March 31, 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., at the Coffee Coop's Steppingstone Art Gallery.
The gallery is located on Route 519 going towards Hope, about 1/3 of a mile from the Route 46 traffic light.
